7 Card Stud
Up to eight players can participate in this game, alongside the virtual dealer. Unlike most other poker games, Seven Card Stud does not contain any “community” cards. A closed hand is dealt to each player and in games with fixed limits there are two bet limits. Initially two “hole” cards are dealt face down to each player. The next four cards are dealt face up and are called “Streets”, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th Street. The final card is dealt face down and known as the “River”. “Antes” are placed by the players at the beginning of the round. This is a portion of the low bet limit, it is used in the same way as “Blinds” are in Texas Hold’em. The betting is begun after the 3rd “Street” is dealt; it is placed by the player who has the lowest value face-up card. Should two players be displaying cards of the same value, the betting order is decided according to suits. In descending value the suit order is: Spades, Hearts, Diamonds and Clubs. The first bet can either be a complete bet or a “Bring-In”. A “Bring-In” is smaller than the complete bet and just as with “Blinds”, the difference only needs to be added if the bet is completed and the player decides to call. All other players can call, complete the bet or raise. The 4th Street is dealt after the bets have been placed. The betting is started by the player with the highest card or combination shown, in this round there is no “Bring-In”. From this round onwards it is possible to place a bet at the high limit. The 5th and 6th “Streets” and the “River” card are treated in the same way as the 4th. This high limit is now used even if it was not used for the 4th “Street”. Once betting on the “River” card is complete, each player constructs the highest five-card poker hand he can. The hand with the highest rank wins the round. Game Sequence
