7 Card Stud Poker
The buy-in is the amount of chips a player has to buy in order to play at a certain table. The minimum amount of a buy-in will be equal to 10 times the sum of the lower betting limit in that game. For example, if the betting limits are 5/10, then the minimum buy-in will be 50. The table is surrounded by a maximum of 8 players. 7 Card Stud requires that you ante-up before the cards are dealt. The sum of the ante will depend on the betting limits of your game – in general, the lower the limits, the lower the ante. For example, on a 10/20 table the ante might be 1, but on a ½ table it will be 0.25. If all 8 players are still in the game by the River round, then there will not be enough cards for each of them to receive their own card. In such a situation, a River card is dealt face-up on the table and used as a community card for all 8 players.Your final Poker hand must be comprised of 5 playing cards. The player with the highest ranking hand according to Standard Poker hand rankings wins the pot.
