What Is A Thunder Tournament?
Thunder tournaments offer you the chance to test your skills in one of the fastest and most exciting tournament structures available. The 12-second time limit gives players a taste of speed as well as a chance to test their skills with shorter blind levels.
Time Banks are used to provide a one-use bucket of extra time for making difficult decisions which may require additional time. This feature is available in selected tournaments only.
How Do I Sign Up For The Tournament?
Click on the tournaments tab in the lobby of the software. You will be presented with a screen showing information about the tournaments on offer, including the Name, Game type, the number of players already registered, the BuyIn fee, and how long before registration begins.
Select the tournament that interests you and additional information will appear in the Table Info panel to the right of the screen, including how many tournament chips you will receive, and what the prizes will be. Simply click the Register Now button. You will be asked for confirmation. If you click yes you are registered, a tick sign will appear next to the tournament you have entered.
When all the places in the tournament have been filled the tournament begins.
Why Is The Fee Split Into Two Parts?
The two parts to the fee (e.g. £20 + £2) denotes how much of the fee goes into the prize pool (£20 per entry), and the house fee for organising the tournament (£2).
Can I Pull Out Of The Tournament Once I Have Registered?
If you decide to unregister for a tournament before it begins you can do so by highlighting the tournament you have entered and click the Unregister button in the Table Info panel in the lobby. You cannot unregister once the tournament has begun.

When all the seats in the tournament are taken a pop up box will appear on your screen telling you that the tournament is just about to begin. Click the "Take me to the tournament" button and you will be seated on the tournament table.
How Are The Prizes Awarded?
Once the tournament has been completed the system will automatically credit the accounts of the winners. Generally the First, Second and Third places will receive a percentage of the prize fund.
What Happens If I Get Disconnected During The Tournament?
If this happens the system will automatically "post and fold" for you. This means that your blinds will be automatically posted when it is your turn to do so, and your hand will be automatically folded when it is your turn to play.
Do Games Played In Tournaments Count Towards Promotions?
No. Tournament games do not count towards the Bad Beat Jackpot or the monthly bonus.
