The second flight of players in this year's Polish Open EPT event numbered slightly less than the first with 168 starting the day and 61 finishing it this means that just over a hundred players will be redrawn in new seats to play down to the money (32 players) during Day Two.
Returning at the top of the pile will be today's end of play chip leader, Danish player Dan Bitsch Pedersen, as well as others finishing comfortably stacked like Irish maverick Andy Black, Theo Jorgensen, and Keith Donais. Busting earlier in the day were previous EPT winner Arnaud Mattern and WSOP champ Greg Raymer, Dave Colclough, and recent GUKPT finalist David Rudling, and a surprising number of others with a surprising variety of weird and wonderful hands (it wasn't all AA vs. KK like yesterday's early knockouts).
Returning players who are short but with a shot include Mel Judah, Johnny Lodden and Liz Lieu it was a most interesting spectrum of players who turned up to try their hand, as it were, here in Warsaw. With such discrepancy between the rich and poor in chips, the action is guaranteed to be fast and furious.
