The William Hill Poker Times is a monthly collection of poker strategy, tips and stories. Subscribers receive a newsletter and entry to invitation only tournaments and competitions. Among their number were notably William Hill's own Julian Thew, eager to take a shot at his third GUKPT title, along with fellow GUKPT champions Sam Trickett, Jerome Bradpiece, Tony Cascarino and a rather hungover Dave Colclough. With sounds from the WSOPE echoing distantly from a nearby district of London, the eyes of the poker world were diverted to the hostoric location of the Vic Casino for the opening day of the London EPT. The success of the opening leg of the EPT in Barcelona boded well for this leg of the tour and this was backed up by the veritable swarms of players that descended on the Vic looking to buy a seat and take part in the tournament.
