Copenhagen was hard work. I was on a table full of Scandinavian players for the majority of the day & in hindsight I played way too passive. After grinding for eight hours with a sub average 5k I eventually ran pocket tens into pocket kings and that was the end of that. Despite that disappointment I do feel that I spotted one or two small leaks in my game & hopefully I'll be able to iron them out over the coming few weeks.
The final table of the EPT in Warsaw had a mixture of nationalities, ages, and experience on it, from 23 year old Trond Erik Eidsvig (making his third final table appearance in this EPT season) to self described recreational player Michael Schulze. As chip leader going into the final, Schulze performed the rare feat of staying ahead all the way through the long day's play, with (even rarer) second in chips Ricardo Sousa taking the runner up spot after nearly eleven hours.
Day Three of the EPT in Warsaw was scheduled in its entirety to bring the 26 remaining players down to a final table of Nine. But no one could have guessed that in only two levels the whole thing would be over, after a barrage of eliminations that seemed to follow each other without pause. 'All in!' was announced by MC Lee Jones every few minutes, and the players, all now in the money, seemed keen to build a large stack or go home with a minimum guaranteed prize of EUR 8,130.
