Choosing a table is the first step to playing poker online. There are two ways to choose one:

3.1. Clicking on a room name.

3.2. Choosing a table from a list and clicking ‘Join Table’. The list of available tables will be divided up into three sections:

  • Poker variations (Texas Hold’em, Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo and Stud).

  • Stake/blind size.

4. How do I join an online poker tournament?

All the available poker tournaments and their details are displayed on the right-hand side of the lobby screen. Simply click on “Go to Tournament” and a window with the registration process will be opened.

5. What is ‘Rake’?

‘Rake’ refers to the commission charged by the House (the Poker Room), and it is a certain percentage of each pot total. However, William Hill Poker does not charge commission for hands that end before the “flop” as part of a “No flop, no drop!” policy. You can read more about the Rake on our website.

6. What will happen if my internet disconnects during the middle of a hand?

William Hill Poker employs advanced disconnection protection technology, so that if you ever lose your internet connection, your game and financial details will be stored safely. The details stored are those at the time just before disconnection, and the hand you were playing can be continued upon reconnection. Please be aware that disconnections can indeed occur, and this is a risk that must be accepted by the player. Disconnection protection can only be used for genuine disconnections. Any intentional form of misuse of this technology may result in the player having to:

  • Lose Disconnection Protection privileges
  • Forfeit monies won
  • Risk being expelled from the website There are real money poker tables available for any players who do not wish to use Disconnection Protection.

7. What are the minimum system requirements for using William Hill Poker?

Our William Hill Poker software requires the following things in order to be run properly on your computer:

8. Why is the Cashier declining my credit card, and how can I fix it?

Online Poker Rooms are considered higher risk for many banking companies, and your bank may therefore be blocking use of your credit card at our site. Be sure to check your bank’s policy on the matter, and read more about it on our ‘Cashier’ page in the Poker lobby. Otherwise, simply choose from one of our many secure depositing methods.

9. Can I reload my playing chips?

Your playing chips can be reloaded every five minutes by simply leaving your current table, going to the Cashier and clicking on ‘Reload play chips’. You must have less than 1,000 chips left in order to be eligible. If you do, then your chip balance will be automatically reset to 1,000 and you will be able to play instantly!

10. How are the results of the games generated?

All the game results are generated using a Random Number Generator (RNG). The RNG creates randomness in results by comparing long sequences of numbers with selected statistical distributions. This is regularly tested for efficiency, and if any of the tests show results outside of the theoretical limits of an RNG, then it is not used. Our current RNG has been tested for randomness using a sequence of no less than 300,000,000 (three hundred million) digits.
